The Urban League of Greater Hartford will host its 23rd Employment Expo & Career Fair on Wednesday, May 31, from noon to 3 p.m. at the YG Club of Dunkin' Park.
The free event features interview preparation, a photographer taking professional headshots, entrepreneurial support, and workshops on employability skills training and professional development, resume writing and critique, mock interviews experiences via Virtual Reality headsets, and men’s suits and accessories for job seekers. Many of the businesses and organizations represented at the Expo work with the Urban League of Greater Hartford throughout the year.

The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) is searching for seasonal staff for 2023.
There are dozens of lifeguard positions across eight locations, both at inland and shoreline parks. Pay starts at $20 per hour.

The amusement park is accepting candidates ages 16 and up, and those hired can earn up to $18 per hour and enjoy perks like free park tickets and flexible hours.

Quassy Amusement Park in Middlebury is hiring for 300 positions for the 2023 season.
Available positions include ride operators, lifeguards, customer service representatives, food service, retail sales and several other positions.
The park provides lifeguard training and certification for its personnel.
Employee perks include flexible schedules, in-park discounts and 20% off tuition at Post University.
Applicants must be at least 16 years old. Applications can be filled out and submitted in-person Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Interviews on the spot should be expected.

The Parks and Recreation department in East Hartford is now accepting applications for its summer 2023 positions.
Positions include:
Lifeguard - Must be at least 15 years old and have current certification in American Red Cross Lifeguarding OR be able to successfully complete a course before the start of the summer season.
Camp Counselor - Must be at least 16 years old. Responsible for planning and leading activities for children in a group setting while supervising them.
Park Ranger - Must be at least 18 years old. Tasks include opening and securing facilities, supervising facilities during events and rentals, enforce policies.
